The Auckland District Health Board aims to promote, improve and protect
the health of our people and communities.
It will promote the inclusion
and participation in society, and independence of, people with disabilities.
The Auckland District Health Board is both a provider and funder of
public hospital and health services. As New Zealand's largest public
healthcare provider we deliver health services of the highest international
standard. The Auckland District Health Board has almost two million
patient contacts annually and provides regional services for 30 per
cent of New Zealand's population. Helping patients with their health
need is the priority of more than 7,500 staff who form the Auckland
District Health Board's clinical care community.
Set in the heart of Auckland, our four specialist teaching hospitals,
Community and Mental Health Services, and Clinical Support Services,
are recognised internationally as centres of clinical excellence in
their respective specialities.
